What a lovely place to visit. It has a wide variety of things to purchase, clothes, toys, handbags etc., but what makes it special is the people. As we walked round (admittedly on a slow Tuesday), all the stall holders were so pleasant and friendly. Oh, if you do visit you must try the market cafe. It's old fashioned in the nicest sense. The staff there are so pleasant and kind, nothing was too much trouble, and their teacakes are delicious. In fact we found all the people of Ulverston friendly with a cheery word. What lovely day, even the weather was good!

A fantastic bistro in Barrow which is worth the 30 mile detour off of the M6! The Tapas-style food is superb and the servings are very generous.
We particularly liked the Lamb rump and the crispy pork tacos. (My wife is now shouting at me ' Don't forget to mention the Burrata....... and the Crab').
Also, the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Will hopefully visit again the next time we are doing the long trek up the M6 to Scotland.

Arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the girl behind the bar who took care of us while we were there who's name I didn't get. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short but had a lovely stay thanks to this girl making us and our little dog feel so welcome. Food was really nice,served by a pleasant young man and area so peaceful. Would love to go back when the weather is nicer.
