Amazing food, atmosphere and experience at Base. The chef is amazing and with an open kitchen you can watch his skills. The staff are wonderful and very informative about the different courses and ingredients. We also had the wine paring which was also lovely. Overall a fabulous night.

4 PUDDINGS!! Yes. Last night, I had 4 puddings! Base Pudding Club was absolutely brilliant! The two savoury courses were awesome but all 4 puddings were amazing and I was in heaven! I hope they do another Pudding Club night as I’ll be the first at the door! Mojito Sorbet, Chocolate Bavarois, Rosy Apple and Lemon Fool. We’ve been here a few times before and the food is always excellent but it seems to be getting better every time we visit. Nice to find out last night that this place is dog friendly during the day too so we will be back for lunch!

Nice place for a wedding reception. Very heavy on prices. Was not happy when had to pay the round. £20 more than pubs in Ulverston. So consequently won't be going there anytime soon.

Lovely little park. Outdoor gym and play area. At the end of the park is a lovely walled garden that you can walk around, and there is a cafe. Carry on ahead and walk up to the monument if you are feeling energetic. Great views on a clear day, we managed to spot Blackpool Tower.
