We have had a lovely visit to the cafe today. The food and service has been great and we will be coming back for mince pies and mulled wine.

The Orangery is a friendly cafe with lovely food and great views over the bay. To help such a worthwhile cause puts the icing on the cake.

I call regularly throughout the season, you make the best tea and cakes in the Lake District - and I tell everyone I meet.

after a walk up the Hoad we noticed the sign for the Orangery at St Marys Hospice..so we ventured in..what a lovely surprise..lovely cafe with a stunning conservatory and artwork which has been done at the hospice, welcoming volunteer staf and yummy food..the menu was excellent and very varied from just a cake and coffee ,sandwiches to main meals..we only had cake and tea but noseying at nearby tables the main meals looked lovely especially the home made meat and potato pies!! very reasonably priced all all monies going back to the hospice..will definately be back. also off the cafe is a lovely shop selling goods/cards etc.
