Its a great place for tea and cake/toast etc, before strolling up the Hoad. Nice park and the garden opposite is both interesting and a bit of a sun trap. Well worth a visit.

A visit for lunch with a group of girly friends, we had a delicious lunch and all really rated our food.
I had the best slow cooked beef sandwich very tasty and the beef was so tender.
There is good veggie options as well.
A great place to go for something a little different.

We holiday frequently in the area and I always try and take my boys to this park, there are quite a few things to do and they are spaced out and you can spend a good amount of time there. There is also the monument to walk up to and a cafe nearby which I have not been in yet but looks ok

Came to the apple festival to have our apples made into juice. It was free of charge and very well organised as well as being great fun. There were a number of stalls and arts and crafts for sale. The gardens sell plants and veg which are reasonably priced. The on-site café is lovely. The food is really nice and on this day they had a hog roast which was delicious. A lovely play area for children.

Good simple food, good service and nice environment. Also has a liscence but bottled beer a trifle expensive.

What a lovely set up. The gardens produce food for the cafe and the grounds are used by the community (short walkways, open field, playground, dog walking area, room hire etc)). All run by volunteers and managed (with some paid staff) by a charity. No longer financed by the Council and with limited grant funding, it has to support itself by volunteer helpers (gardeners, groundwork, repairs, maintenance, various projects) and the cafe. Current drive to get more people to make a small monthly subscription and/or to volunteer. A case of use it or lose it!

The Coach House Cafe is a great asset to Hope Park. Met up with friends for morning coffee. Very reasonably priced, good quality and piping hot. Will return at a later date for lunch.

I went to Ford Park on Sunday just for a stroll and a coffee it's now been taken over by a group from the local community. I wasn't disappointed, it's a lovely space to chill. The Tea shop is lovely with pleasant staff and surroundings, there are seats outside too so nice on a sunny day. The food is good maybe a bit on the pricey side considering it's a charity run by a Community Group. I had a Herb scone with cream cheese and relish delicious! Perhaps it would be better to put the cream cheese and relish in separate bowls rather than the small kilner jars as they were a little difficult to empty. My friend had welsh rarebit and a side of fries which was declared beautiful.
The Garden Centre side of the business was looking good with lots of plants fruit and veg ready for potting in preparation for Easter. If you're up that way and at a loose end do pop in, if you fancy a walk to make way for food you could always walk up to Ulverston Old Man we declined I remember walking up there in my childhood the memory was all I needed to work up my appetite.

6 swings with tyres around them, confused me as to the reason why.

Blue mesh circular swing,

Up & down planks.

Wheel thing, not certain what called.

Roomy green place & quiet.
