Lichfield, Burntwood and Rugeley people can give St Giles Hospice a ‘tree-mendous’ Christmas gift this year by supporting the charity’s annual TreeCycle campaign.
Advent & Christmas 2020 is likely to be different from any other year, with local restrictions in place that will limit our celebrations with friends and family. However, this time of year can still be special; we are all in need of hope, comfort and joy – something that Lichfield Cathedral is planning to deliver over the coming weeks.

With an uncertain lead up to Christmas ahead, Lichfield Cathedral is giving us something to look forward to this upcoming festive season. For years the Cathedral has formed the centre of many people’s Christmas celebrations and this year’s celebrations, whilst bound to be different, will still give us all a dose of that Christmas cheer that we crave.
A woman whose husband was able to enjoy one last Christmas at home with his family thanks to St Giles Hospice is calling on people to support its festive raffle.
St Giles Hospice is inviting people to light up a life and remember loved ones who are no longer with us this Christmas.
Lichfield Garrick Theatre is again working with businesses to help families who are suffering bereavement, illness, or trauma attend its socially-distanced pantomime this Christmas. Sponsored family tickets will be distributed to deserving people by local charities.
People can make a New Year’s resolution to protect the environment and support a great local charity at the same time by donating their old Christmas cards to St Giles Hospice.
Hundreds of people came together on Sunday (8 December) to remember their loved ones at a special Christmas service outside Lichfield Cathedral.
