Leading Devon chartered accountancy firm, Simpkins Edwards, has marked the opening of its new offices in Bovey Tracey with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony undertaken by Bovey Tracey’s Town Mayor, Cllr Avril Kerswell.

GDPR is the EU General Data Protection Regulation which comes into effect from 25th May 2018. It means that if your business uses email marketing, sends direct mail or makes sales calls. The law is changing what you can & can’t do. This even includes tracking tools such as Google Analytics!
The new law states that (among other things) if someone has given consent for you to collect data (newsletter sign ups, contact forms etc) you need to record when they gave you permission and you need to log exactly what they were shown when they opted in.

More than 100 companies from across Devon are expected to attend a special business day focused on achieving greater growth next month.
Thrifty Car & Van Rental has partnered with Exeter-based driver technology and rewards platform, Lightfoot, to reward better drivers with discounts on vehicle rental. From March onwards, Thrifty, (the largest independent vehicle rental business in the UK), will be giving Lightfoot Elite Drivers a 10% discount on vehicle hire in the UK.
