Paradise Wildlife Park is a small zoo, which focuses on big cats and activities for children. We spent three and a half hours here and we usually spend a lot of time on zoo visits.
The highlights included the big cats, where we saw a rare white Bengal Tiger, White Lions from South Africa, Snow Leopards, Jaguars and a Cheetah.
We really enjoyed both Birds of Paradise shows we saw, the trainers there did a great job.
The Red Panda feed and talk was also a highlight, as it's the only time the Pandas will become active.
The zoo definitely focuses on children and keeping them busy, We visited on 19th September and can see how the zoo is going out of season, as a lot was closed, including the crazy golf, which actually looks worn out.
As mentioned by others - £3 for parking seems to be a bit of a joke, it's not like people who are not customers would use the car park, it's in the middle of nowhere.

We took my 2 daughters aged 5 and nearly 2 and my 2 nieces aged 8 on new yrs day. Had a really good day out. Some of the big cat enclosures seemed a bit on the small side but this is a conservation zoo and all keepers seemed very enthusiastic , knowledgeable and the animals well cared for. The park was well kept clean and tidy. All the kids loved the attractions and rides like soft play and slides. The train not running on our visit but a short tractor ride sufficed. The cafe was good value and food good. In the summer I might be inclined to take a picnic as I think the cafe could become very busy. All in all a great wildlife park and attraction.

5 adults (17 - 50 years) 5 kids (1- 7 years). I think it's a little expensive but we had used Tesco Clubcard vouchers so much cheaper and there are some deals online if you buy in advance. Food and drink is expensive here but we took a picnic so spent very little except for icecream for the kids, £1 bags of food to feed the animals and £1 each to go on the train ride which was a little dissapointing as I would have expected this to he free. Lots of animals to see and you can get quite close to most. Lots of sky walkways which all have slope access so wheelchair users can get up there too. The slopes are very steep in places though. Penguin feeding time gave some of the kids the chance to throw them some fish so worth a look. Bird show was one owl, 3 love birds and a kestrel. Ok if that's your thing. Lots of parks for the kids to burn off some energy and lots of nice picnic areas. The new water park lagoon was quite dissapointing as it's nothing more than a paddling pool with a slide in it. Think they could have made much more of this area and don't know why they decided to make it so small. A nice surprise and a hidden gem was the National Speedway Museum. We had no idea it was there and just accidentally found it. Great collection of bikes and memorabilia. Anyway, all in all a nice day out with the family. Would go again. We only live a half hour drive away so it's local to us. I'd probably drive up to an hour to get there but much more over that I'd probably opt for one of the bigger places like Colchester Zoo maybe.

Purchased tickets through Virgin days out for cheaper than at the door. Lots to do, great day out for the family. At the Zoo itself you can feed the farm yard, sheep's, goats, rabbits etc for £1 per feeding bag. There's plenty of animals to see from tigers to monkey's. Even a free tractor ride to take you round the zoo.
Also opposite the zoo is an adventure playground for the kids and a soft play area. Again plenty of fun for the kids. The restaurant is a bit pricey but it always is at this type of establishment. All in all a good day out. Would definitely recommend.
