Tarnerland Nursery School is for children from 3mths to 5yrs, it is funded by the Local Education Authority in partnership with the Council’s Children’s and Family Services and is part of the Tarner Children’s Centre. The nursery has a long established reputation of providing quality early education and care which we are delighted to maintain, reflected in our recent Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ grading (link to report), this is particularly pleasing as we have to meet the strict criteria of a full school inspection – our success is due to the outstanding practice of our well qualified and experienced staff, which includes 5 teachers, 1 EYP and 20 NVQ’s. The Headteacher has a long career in teaching and her deputy – The Nursery Manager has a vast experience in Children’s Services, this is reflected in the qualifications they have both gained through the National College for Leadership.
