St. Barbe Museum & Art Gallery can be found just off the High Street in the beautiful Georgian town of Lymington. The Museum is a family friendly museum, with collections and displays that tell the story of the New Forest coast; while the Art Gallery has exhibitions of national significance. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Cannot comment on museum itself as we had limited time and came into ask re Tourist Information. Staff could not have been more helpful and the artist section with coffee stall provided us with rest and chance to buy one of the artists' work. Hope the council realise how lucky they are with their volunteers!

A visit to to this historic collection of toys and trains from Sussex and beyond is a perfect way to revive your childhood memories, and/or introduce school children to the delights of play. You will find model trains, teddy bears and special exhibitions galore at Brighton Toy and Model museum..
This museum, it's really amazing. There are lots of beautiful models. The people who work there are always kind and they're always ready to help. With the music and the models, you feel the atmosphere of the past. It's a unique experience!
