Shropshire Festivals has announced the launch of a garden competition for local schools and community groups.
The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Bernie Bentick, will be swapping the comfort of his bed for a sleeping bag on Thursday as he takes part in the Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation's annual Sleep Out Under the Stars event at the Croud Meadow.

A shop in Walsall has been fined after selling alcohol to a person under the age of 18 during a test purchasing exercise carried out by Trading Standards.

Walsall Archives has been awarded accredited status as part of the UK Archive Service Accreditation scheme.
Walsall has been successful in its application to become a member of Sustainable Food Places, a UK-wide network of boroughs, towns and cities working together to make sure everyone can access and enjoy good, healthy food choices.
Walsall Council Community Capital programme is open for submissions, and has an circa of £300,000 for allocation within the Bloxwich Town Deal area only.
