Disappointing visit but I’m sure it is often better!
Quirky! The village was very different and would like to come back when everything is open.
The room was lovely - and comfortable.
Food in the bar was very good Our room was not ready when we arrived so although check in was from 2 - didn’t get in the room until nearly 5
Breakfast was not a great standard especially the continental selection which was lacking fruit, cheese, jam, etc

Roderick on reception was truly fabulous.
He was professional, kind, and full of empathy.
The breakfast manager lady was great. And recognised me after 18 months.
As a solo lady traveller , you feel very safe and comfortable. The area is very pretty.

I enjoyed the hotel and facilities and the food was a good variety
I was disappointed with the facial we booked a 25 minute facial and only was 15 minutes so didn’t think it was worth the money

Good start poor finish
The room, The restaurant the reception area
Not being told on arrival that if the room needed to be refreshed, ( bed made towels changed) when returning at 22:30 had to make bed and only one bath towel available, informed of protocol when checking out. Poor service at breakfast on second day which was a real disappointment as the dinner and breakfast on the previous day was brilliant would even say above and beyond.

The spa as what you expect, the bar was nice and cosy
