Great place, just off the M56, but you wouldn't know it. We were lucky enough to time our stay with the Italian Women's team for the Euro's, who were based here. If it is good enough for a National Team to stay, then trust me, you can't go wrong.
The main building is steeped in history and includes a number of period features.

It's an OK hotel restaurant is its best point and reservation booking accuracy its worst and everything else fits between this very wide spectrum. Improvements possible.

Stayed for 1 week for work.
Lovely hotel I stayed in what I think used to be converted staples in the yard .
Lovely spacious and clean room . Large bathroom with a bath and shower.
Nice comfy bed .
Staff very friendly and welcoming and some nice food on offer .
All in all a very nice 3 day stay.

This is a lovely hotel but I'm sad to say it's not as good as it used to be. Saunas and steam rooms have been closed for nearly a year and there were just a lot of little niggles (no coat hangers, towels or tissues in the room, towels not provided at pool, cold bacon etc etc). All trivial but they mounted up). Will probably stay elsewhere next time.

This could be potentially a lovely place, but we did encounter a lot of little issues. All were resolved by staff, however it did make the trip a little stressful. Our room key didn't work, we were moved into a different room. The spa brochure on the website is out of date prices are now higher. Pool was very busy and couldn't only be accessed after you checked in and before you checked out otherwise additional charges were applied.
Food was amazing. So tasty and varied in its choice. Rooms themselves were super comfortable and spacious. High quality toiletries too, but soap wasn't filled up. All in all, we had a good stay but it wasn't perfect.
