Used our 2 for 1 Gardeners World Magazine voucher. A wonderful day out, so much to see across the house and gardens. Everyone was really friendly, from the ladies on reception (special shout out to lovely Limpy who made an appearance and is obviously very much loved!) to the volunteers in the House and servers in the on-site Stables restaurant, which I highly recommend. There is loads to see in the house with plenty of information throughout, and the volunteers are very knowledgeable. The gardens are stunning, and again, there is lots of information to read/videos etc.

This is the third time we visited this hotel as it's in the perfect place in which to visit relatives in Bury. The room was large and at the back there is just fields so nice and quiet. Breakfast was good despite not receiving one of the items I'd asked for in the full English. The down side was that the furniture in the room was a little dirty and drab, nothing that a lick of paint couldn't cure. The bathroom door was also dirty as was the radiator and showerhead. We were only staying the one night so not so important. The bed was comfy and the grounds was nicely maintained.

Fab meal, staff really looked after us well. Recommend the Gamberoni Piccanti and the Fish Milanese. Great pizza as well. We will be back.

Feel sad about this one! Absolutely loved the Dinosaurs and the kids play area. But the actual animal part of the zoo was a big let down. Hardly saw any animals and honestly I feel their habitas are too small

Despite the mixed reviews we decided to give this a go. In short, it's all just a bit strange, a bit drab and although the staff were polite the service was incredibly slow from start to finish. The food, once it arrived was pretty decent but I don't think we will be returning. Definitely not an authentic experience.
