Always wanted to visit this castle having lived in Sussex all my life. [ 60+] Decided to go having seen an advert in The Argus paper. Superb setting incredible grounds and gardens. Good coffee shop and choice of cakes! Highly recommended

Can't get into the castle but the grounds are great. We went today and it wasn't over crowded, you just wander where you want to . Some areas we didn't see a soul.<br>So much to see , all different aspects. From wild woods to laid out flower beds. There is also a huge wildflower meadow.<br>If you've got the 2for1 magazine from Gardeners World the price for 2 people is a bargain at £8, well worth the money. They also have a small cafe.

We could not factually visit the castle because admittance was only available in the outside area. Considering the high price of the ticket it would not make any sense. A real pity indeed.

Fabulous gardens. As university shut entrance is via the castle drawbridge, so can walk through to the tranquil gardens.<br>Castle arts gallery/shop now open with local arts, crafts and stained glass.
