On the face of it a nice hotel but grubby in parts. Our room was in the Courtyard which is more ‘motel’ than’ hotel’. There are steps to the upper level of the Courtyard with no assistance with suitcases. The room was reasonable and the shower room very modern. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to adjust the water temperature to a comfortable level in the shower. Our room overlooked the “Drop Inn” and proved to be very noisy late at night. The hotel is a venue for weddings and guests were loitering outside after the evening session and were noisy. We stayed for three nights and our room was only cleaned once, after we drew this to the attention of the reception staff. Breakfast, which was a steep £14.95 each (if booked the day before), was reasonable, although there was no cutlery or tea cups on our table so tea and breakfast arrived with nothing to consume them with! It was always very busy and, although doing their best, staff appeared to be struggling to keep up. No granola was available on our final morning. We experienced slow service in the restaurant for an evening meal. We felt it is an expensive hotel for what it is!

Friends and I enjoyed a wonderful Spa Package yesterday. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Special mention for Jane who did my facial and scrub. She was lovely. Thank you

Check where you are dining before booking, also take earplugs as usually weddings on. But if you are prepared a good stay

Went for a spa break over the bank holiday weekend in August. We arrived before 2pm so the room wasn't ready. We collected robes from reception and went to the pool and thermal suite. The locker wouldn't open as the bottom hinge had come loose. The thermal suite needs a refurb. It's a shame the pool overlooks the housing estate rather than the countryside. The treatment at the spa was good. Enjoyed the meal at the restaurant. The room was at the front above the the outside seating. People were outside talking loudly and moving furniture until the early hours which undid all the relaxation at the spa. Glad it was only one night. I had stayed previously in one of the courtyard rooms which was much quieter.

From checking in with Caitlin who was very knowledgeable and helpful even with a queue behind us to checking out I don’t have a bad word to say.
We stayed for our wedding anniversary ( room 80 ) which was amazing. The room was so big and inviting. We only wish we had booked 3 nights.
Olivia in the pub was a lovely way to start our overnight journey.
2 guys in the main bar Jake and Joe I think their names were just magic.
Star of the show for us both was Sue who was running the restaurant both at evening meal and morning after at breakfast, she got everything bang on as did chef with the most exquisite food served.
We didn’t use the spa but it looked beautiful.
We will be returning for definite

We have been here on a number of occasions over the years, going back to the 1990's usually just for a Birthday overnight spa stay as we have just recently done.
We will not be doing it again. My wife booked it on a wowcher deal. Unfortunately on the small print we were down to eat in The Last Drop pub. The menu is not the most appealing to say the least. We had to complain about the terrine starter as the sourdough bread toast was teeth breaking. We sat down to eat prior to 7.30pm. Whilst many people at that time were having their evening meal, the pub thought it would be a good idea to do a pub quiz at that time which lasted the entire length of our evening in there. We requested a room in the courtyard when booking but on arrival we didn't have one. Apparently, hotel was full. After a bit of a discussion with my wife, a courtyard room was suddenly found. The carpets look old. and similarly the room just looks tired. You have to book a slot at the spa area. The infinity pool was very busy (possibly overbooked) and although the main sauna was nice and hot we had problems with the heat in the steam rooms and second sauna. Please be aware that you need a pound coin to use the lockers in the changing room. The spa reception had no tokens so I was given a key and padlock for mine and my wife had to get changed in her changing room then meet me at the poolside so I could put her belongings in my locker. There were other issues also which I haven't mentioned. On a positive - the breakfast (which you order) was very good and service was quick.
In my opinion the Last Drop still lives on it's perceived upmarket status from the 1990's / early 2000's and their prices tend to reflect this.

We had our wedding here last week in the Harmony Suite. Everything surpassed our expectations. Jacqueline the wedding planner was just amazing. From communication throughout the planning to keeping in touch throughout our stay and on the day. The service, the staff, the food, the set up....just fabulous. Thank you so much to Jacqueline and team for our perfect day xx

We stayed here while attending a wedding at Harwood Golf Club, which is nearby. I can’t say that I loved how our cottage executive room looked but it might just be not to my taste and it was cosy, well equipped and clean and the bed was very comfy and the shower was nice and strong. I didn’t have time to take a photo while the bed was neat so that looked better than our photo when we arrived.

The dressing gowns had seen better days and were a bit stiff with some threads hanging off. There weren’t any slippers provided. So it’s good to remember something to go to the spa in.

I don’t know if we were unlucky with the people staying above but we could hear them walking around above almost all night. We couldn’t however hear voices luckily.

Check in and check out were at good times and although we were out the afternoon and night before we had time to visit the swimming pool and thermal area before we checked out. This was a lovely facility to have. It’s not the prettiest or most well equipped but still a nice one with a good amount of thermal experiences.

There are also family changing rooms which is great.

I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat while we were there.

The appearance of the communal areas and building exteriors are lovely.

The staff we spoke to were very nice and we were asked how our stay was at check out.

We would definitely stay here again given the price and the spa facilities, that we didn’t explore everything and that it is close to home.

Our check-in experience was excellent — the staff were attentive and ensured our dinner and breakfast reservations were confirmed, along with verifying our spa booking. This level of organisation was much appreciated and set a positive tone for our stay.

The bar, however, was quite busy and appeared slightly understaffed. Despite there being no one else waiting apart from my partner and me, service was slow and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed or disorganised.

Dinner in the evening was enjoyable overall, though the presentation could be elevated — the steak was good, but it was served with a rather underwhelming pile of chips. A more refined accompaniment would have enhanced the dining experience. That said, the atmosphere and staff were both lovely.

The spa and pool facilities were excellent and exactly what we were hoping for as we were celebrating a promotion. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, though we found the TV to be quite small for the size of the room, and the lighting somewhat limited — but this comes down to personal preference.

Unfortunately, breakfast and check-out slightly diminished our overall impression. While we understand it was a busy morning and that a wedding was taking place (which, to your credit, was managed discreetly), the breakfast portion was surprisingly small with just two pieces of bacon, a single hash brown, and mushrooms that did not appear to be pan-fried. Service at breakfast was lacking, with no staff checking in to ask if everything was satisfactory. There was also a long queue for toast, and limited space around the fruit and drinks area, which created some unnecessary congestion.

Lastly, our check-out experience was impersonal. Unlike the warm welcome at check-in, the receptionist did not make eye contact or inquire about our stay. They simply took the keys and wished us a good day.

While the overall experience was not bad, particularly thanks to the spa and the friendly staff we encountered during check-in and dinner. The service inconsistencies and lack of attention to detail during peak times would make us hesitant to return.
