I have stayed here a few times and it is a beautiful hotel on lovely grounds, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The bar staff are always having fun and being friendly, especially Liam.

We stayed at Mercure Blackburn as part of a work-related training trip, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish.
The hotel is beautiful, with lots of character and history, yet everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The cleaning service was outstanding — our room was spotless every day, with attention to every little corner. The whole hotel was incredibly clean despite being a historic building.
The food was absolutely fantastic — beautifully presented and incredibly well seasoned. Every dish was full of flavour and clearly prepared with care.
The hotel and restaurant staff were wonderful: friendly, professional and always happy to help. A special mention must go to Lilly, one of the waitresses. What an amazing person! She has such a great sense of humour and added so much laughter and fun to our dinner, while remaining incredibly professional, warm and attentive. Her “above and beyond” attitude made her truly unforgettable, and she is definitely someone we will remember and talk about for a long time.
There is also plenty of parking, which was a big plus during our work-related stay.
Overall, a wonderful experience. The hotel made our training stay so much more enjoyable, and we would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

Coach party, food not great. WIFI connection very poor. Very small bar area so no where to sit in evening. SPA and pool very good.

Cedric was so quick to help! We were stuck with a broken lock and he went above and beyond to help. He gave us his recommendation for the best new lock. With us within an hour on a Friday night - can’t thank him enough!! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. We’ll be straight in touch for new locks!
