Beautiful Hotel. Nice clean room. We were here for 3 nights to celebrate our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. What a let-down ! When my husband booked he said that I was highly allergic to garlic and could they cope with that. The answer was "Of course, no problem". The menu looked really interesting. Unfortunately ALL their dishes contained garlic but they assured me they would create something without garlic. Well, the first night was ok - I had trout, boiled potatoes & green veg, not exactly gourmet. The second night (our actual anniversary) was a disaster. We had to wait an hour and a half to be served. I ordered a piece of grilled chicken and twice-cooked chips with veg. What arrived was a chicken fillet which was hard and leathery and skinny chips. Totally inedible. The waiter, Stuart, offered to provide a better meal of my choosing the following day "on the house". That was just a repeat of the meal I had on the first evening as everything else had garlic in it. Not exactly "of my choosing". This hotel was, to say the least, very disappointing and totally ruined a very special occasion. If you have any sort of allergy, don't stay here - they just can't cope.

I cannot recommend The Personal Agent highly enough. From start to finish, the service was exceptional.
John in particular was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. He was professional, proactive, responsive and always extremely easy to deal with. Communication was excellent, I was kept informed at every stage, and whenever something needed attention John was straight on it. He genuinely made the whole selling process feel straightforward and remarkably stress-free.
A special thank you also to Mark, who was excellent and very helpful throughout. The whole team clearly works extremely well together and provides a very personal level of service, which really does set them apart.
Selling a property can be stressful, particularly when you are managing things from a distance, but I always felt that the sale was in very capable hands. They found a great buyer, kept everything moving and helped get the transaction through to completion smoothly and efficiently.
A huge thank you to John, Mark and everyone at The Personal Agent. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them and would very happily use them again. Five stars, thoroughly deserved.

Great stop off on the way from the north to the Manchester. Well located for the motorway.

The hotel itself is very pleasant but no 'grounds' to walk about.
The evening service in the restaurant was absolutely appalling. Sit down time was 7pm they were serving the 1st course at 7:55pm, by 9pm there was no sign of the 3rd course so I 'gave up the ghost ' and left. I wouldn't go back.
