It was a last minute booking for my son’s birthday meal. The place is nice & comfortable, the service was outstanding, the food was top rate, very delicious and plenty of it. I would highly recommend. Like to say thank you so much to all the staff xx

My family and I met Katherine when the Cooperative Funeral people put her in touch with us. Our mum had sadly passed away and Katherine came to meet us at our home. We shared funny stories about mum and we all laughed recalling them. Katherine made us feel really at ease, taking the time to listen to us. At the end Katherine thanked us for our time and said she would send us a draft over. We talked about poems and Katherine said she would send a couple over to look at, we just needed to let her know which one we chose. All through the process Katherine was in contact ourselves and I felt so comfortable that I could contact her at any time. On the day of moms funeral Katherine was waiting for us at the crematorium and hugged us all stating we were going to celebrate moms life. The service was exceptional and when Katherine was talking about mom, her actions were exactly how we spoke about mom. It was such an exceptional service and everyone stated how when Katherine spoke about mom everyone knew who she was talking about. Katherine made people giggle with the stories that we had shared. For such a sad event Katherine did us all proud, everyone said that she did us all proud! At the end of the service Katherine gave us a folder and when I opened it there was a copy of the service and a lovely card from her. On behalf of my family and I, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for us as a family, and for sending off our mom in style.

FOMO worthy peonies - and incredible prices!
Several of my friends had bought peonies from Velvet Stem, and they looked stunning so I went and bought some for my mum and I.
I had never heard of Velvet Stem before, but seeing my friend's photos of their flowers, I knew that I could trust her.
Her flowers were half the price of high street florists (I paid £12 for 5 peonies, high street florists sell 5 stems for £40!!) and yet somehow significantly better quality than high street florist flowers!
Amy runs her business from home, pick-up is super easy (even if you don't drive, I got the bus) and she takes the time to explain how best to look after the flowers so that they thrive for longer - which I really appreciated. Using her advice, my peonies that I bought 10 days ago are still going (photo attached from today vs the day I bought them!)
