Just checked out from a 5 night stay. Hotel is lovely and I really liked the spa. My daughter went swimming most nights, when home from filming and enjoyed herself too. Think the staff may have wondered what I had done with her during the day while I went in the spa :-) Thank you for the upgraded room! Suited us really well and we loved the space!

Won’t be returning and won’t recommend The character of the hotel was lovely, the food was great too. We ended up with a suite room and the sofa was so uncomfortable to sit on and that was the only way to watch the tv. The spa was very disappointing, overlooking the car park

Couldn’t fault the staff but the rooms are lacking something and feel a little tired. We stayed in a classic double but then moved to another. We moved because I struggled with the shower in the first room having mobility issues. The second room was bigger but seemed tired and the seating was inadequate, the air conditioning didn’t work to start with but was fixed after a couple of days. The bathroom basin was cracked and the shower head didn’t stay where it was put. I looked at the classic doubles on the web site and they didn’t reflect what we had. The website shows very big spacious rooms and if we hadn’t been moved I would have checked out and sought alternative accommodation.

I say unbelievable because after many months in lockdown, and also being ill, I was forced to travel for business purposes.

It felt like a normal hotel stay.

The virtually daily changing Covid restrictions, must be so difficult to impose in a hotel type of environment,.

I have to be very honest and say I genuinely did not feel any impact of the restrictions in my stay.
Yes of course food was room service only, But the quality of food was actually better than normal.

The rooms were tidy and fresh and of course covered clean💪🏼

I am really looking forward to going back next week, to continue the work I started yesterday.

I can certainly recommend the hotel as a secure safe and healthy place to stay.

I stayed for business during COVID-19.

Great customer service. Breakfast is ordered the night before and you grab it by reception. A hot option is available or a snack option you can grab and get out to your car.

Gym is open and was adequate.

Room was very clean, large and secure. Had an excellent desk and TV which was all I needed. WiFi worked well throughout my stay. parking is free, just pop your registration number in.

The only thing I would say is that I didn't have a working phone in my room. During COVID, this made it difficult to order food for room service.

Food menu was good, served within about 40 minutes both nights and was hot and tasty. It is delivered to your room and quickly tidied away. Will be staying again thank you.

Enjoyed my overnight stay at this hotel. I must say every area of this hotel was spotlessly clean, from the grounds, to the room, to the walkway areas, pool and restaurant was so clean hats off to the cleaning team. Room was very quiet too, stayed in the courtyard. Lovely bed and a huge tv. Had a small problem with the hot water when we first got there but was fine later on. Great swimming pool too, a shame the steam room/sauna wasn’t open. Would stay here again and recommend.

Booked one night here for the bank holiday. Bed, breakfast and evening meal. Just lovely. The hotel is stunning, set in gorgeous surroundings. The room had everything we needed and an enormous TV that you can cast from your phone to so could watch Netflix as well as normal channels. Used the pool and jacuzzi, some of the facilities are still closed but the pool was lovely. Special mention to all the staff. Every single person we spoke to was so friendly, helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back for another visit.

This hotel looks great and the room we were in was excellent. Large, clean, bed was comfy, windows were able to be open wide (it was hot weather) and tv and WiFi worked fine, however the breakfast and dinner experience let it down. The restaurant looked nice and the food was good . However it was a buffet and due to COVID it should have been table service really as guests should not be wandering around. Mains were home cooked but desserts were bought in with only two choices. Staff serving the food were asked about the antipasti starter and gave the reply ‘I don’t know’ and ‘it’s what they gave me’. And why were the starters in plastic pots? Mains were on a plate.
Breakfast was same but timings and venue let it down. It was in a large, soulless function room with a carpet that was horrible. Looked like coffee ground spilled all over! Food choices were poor. No fresh fruit salad ( could be pre portioned into plastic pots as was starters at dinner) everything ran out, so if three days of cooked breakfast did not suit then there was only toast/ pastries to choose from. Where was the eggs benedict, kippers, smoked salmon, cold meats and cheese?
We were asked to wait until 10.30 on two days and on the last day the same. However on all the days it was clear that there was not enough staff to operate. Hence spreading guests out.
Also there is no lounge area to relax in. Only the small bar. Most hotels have sofas in reception or elsewhere in the hotel.
All in all a stay we enjoyed but had too many niggles.
