Went to visit and take part in the Capybara experience. It's a small zoo and it was a cold January day so we weren't sure what to expect. We were really impressed. Every interaction we had with anyone working there was fantastic. A really friendly welcome, and an explanation as to where everything was and how to find our way around. We were pleased to see that some of the animals weren't visible - in that cold weather, it was good to see that they had somewhere to go to shelter and stay warm. We went to the lemur talk which was interesting and well delivered, and when we spoke to the person who was talking, she was helpful and friendly and full of enthusiasm for my son.

The Capybara experience was a fantastic way to spend half an hour, we were met, talked through Capybaras and the history of the zoo with a hot drink and taken to meet the capybaras. We fed them and were able to stroke them, with a keeper with us to talk us through them. My son was very enthusiastic and the keeper talked to him throughout.

We were impressed at the animatronic dinosaurs and the train that runs through that area. We had breakfast in a cafe in the zoo and lunch in the restaurant. I was impressed at the price and quality of both as well as the customer service. At the cafe, there was a window from the cafe into the sun bear enclosure, so had a great view whilst we were there.

We met Peter Sampson, who owns the zoo, before we left, who had so much time for us and like everyone else we met was wonderfully friendly.

My son was asking when we were going to visit again before we had even made it back from this visit.

Thanks to the team there for such a good experience

What a find. Definitely worth a visit with young kids. But, also lots for adults and the way in which the enclosures have been designed means that you get to see far more of the animals than in other zoos (e.g. Whipsnade). The whole layout is much better than at Whipsnade and there are almost as many animals in a smaller area, so more bang for your buck as it were. Food choices are limited, but you don't go to the zoo to have a gourmet meal!! Maybe not yet....

We had a wonderful day at the zoo today. We travelled down from Scotland as my 2 children are massive fans of 1 Zoo 3 and thanks to a fabulous member of staff Carol, my children met Aaron and Tyler during our visit. A big thank you to the guys for making time to meet my children and Carol for making it happen. We will definitely be making the trip again as we saw so many amazing animals and had an awesome family day out 😁

Visited the zoo as a family of 5 adults and one 4 year old. All the adults love big cats and they were amazing. No lions which are my absolute favourite, so a bit disappointed but will visits the big cat sanctuary in the summer. So much to see, however we only spent a few hours there so didn’t cover 1/4 of it. If you go with young children there is even more to do as well as seeing the beautiful animals. Play areas, soft play, sand pits, dinosaur land, picnic areas, paddling pool (summer) and so much more. A fantastic day out and good value for money. Food and hot drinks were all good quality.
I have been visiting frequently over 30 years and seen lots of changes. Make sure you are wearing comfy clothes and shoes and enjoy 😊

This was a really clean well organised zoo. The dinosaur bit was great. The boys absolutely loved it. The animals look really happy and there was a wide variety lots of talks as well. Really liked the adventure playgrounds and the slides. We will be back.

Great day out, February half term. It's cold, so some animals harder to spot, I could not blame them! But still plenty to see and do. Our 4 year old loved the dinosaurs, wow they move and roar! There are lots of play areas, including covered ones, so good choice for this time of year. Several indoor animal exhibitions so very any weather friendly. Easy to walk round with younger children and pushchairs. Out door covered areas to picnic so you can keep cost down by bringing a packed lunch. Very attractively laid out, lots of information about natural habitats and conservation. Viewing areas and low windows made seeing animals very accessible to a younger child. There was even a sandpit to dig in! We will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

I visit this zoo with my Grandson quite a lot. We love it here. The only thing I can say is that when we visited this week I noticed that certain things have changed! Being season ticket holders we used to get the mini golf free but now we have to pay £3 each. The same goes for the train, we used to get one free ride but now we have to pay £2 each. The other thing we noticed was that when we walked through the dinosaur area whereas before we could come straight out, we now have to go through the gift shop. I don't agree with this, it is not fair. Some people simply don't have enough money to buy gifts for their children.

Lunchtime, table had ben booked for some weeks, just opened for lunch, restaurant was not busy initially, and there were few people in when we arrived. It subsequently became busy - but long after our orders were placed.
This was our FOURTH visit.
Sadly, the worst.
Orders were a sushi platter for two, a katsu chicken and some sushi with rice. Four covers altogether.
I was encouraged - and pleased - that the hot katsu chicken arrived very quickly together with a bowl of rice for the other individual sushi order.
And then we waited - and waited - and waited.
After a visit to the counter to enquire after the delay, the remainder of the orders arrived, but by now, my first served guest had almost finished her katsu chicken and the bowl of rice accompaniment for the other individual sushi dish was cold. I asked for a replacement bowl of rice. This too seemed to take an age to be delivered, and I once again had to approach the counter. That was then brought to the table; apology - but no smiles. It seemed an 'effort'.
A party on a nearby table had similar service; hot dishes arrived and eventually their cold sushi dishes were delivered, but by then, some of their guests had almost finished.
Yes we were given some additional spring rolls to offset the poor service - but even those were brought to the table with barely a smile. Again, it seemed an 'effort'.
We didn't benefit from the robot delivery, which is very much a part of the entertainment experience; why not us? Other tables did.
Good food - poor service.
On that basis, we'll give it one more try before abandonment.

We had the Salmon Nigiris at a Gin tasting event which was supplied by Su&Shi and it was fabulous. We will definitely be back for more in the very near future.

Had a takeaway with some salmon nigiri to pair up with a Japanese gin on a gin tasting masterclass last week.
Let me say, it looked exciting and was delicious and paired up very well too.
Cheers!
