My husband and I bought a QuidsIn deal for an overnight stay in Penthouse Suite, dinner and breakfast. Overall the visit was lovely. The food from the spring menu was very good, as was the wine. Staff were very helpful. The Suite was huge, especially the lounge/kitchen area and had a good view over outdoor pool/golf course. The room just lacked a few things which we would have expected for a Penthouse Suite including a full length mirror and comfortable bedroom dresser where you can put your legs under. The dresser lighting could have been better and a magnifying mirror would have been handy too. Couldn’t fault the modern bathroom with double sink. We were a bit disappointed with room service breakfast as they forgot our bacon and butter and we could have done with hot water for extra tea. They apologised and were lovely about it though. We would definitely go again and the points made above are minor things but they make all the difference. With these we would definitely have rated a five star.
Duke of Richmond Hotel
The Duke of Richmond Hotel is well known to both locals and visitors as one of the best restaurants in Guernsey with a wide range of luxury cuisine. The Leopard Restaurant is a welcoming venue for fine dining at any time of day. When the weather allows, The Terrace, overlooking beautiful Candie Gardens provides an al fresco dining experience perfect for morning coffee or afternoon tea, or move into the Conservatory and appreciate our cuisine under shelter from the elements.
I have always received good service at the Duke of Richmond Hotel. It feels like quality as soon as you step into the checkered floored reception. The Leopard bar is very luxurious and welcoming. Afternoon tea is also to die for. Hope to go to more of their themed evenings including jazz in the future.
Old Government House Hotel & Spa
The Old Government House Hotel & Spa has a wide range of options for fine dining at any time of the day from breakfast through lunch, to afternoon tea or evening meals. Guernsey only five star hotel contains The Brasserie Restaurant overlooking private gardens and St. Peter Port Harbour, The Curry Room which is Guernsey's finest Indian restaurant, The Olive Grove which is the only restaurant in St. Peter Port with its own garden for al fresco dining with a sea view, The Centenary Bar and the Sir John Coward Lounge for drinks or afternoon tea. Adjacent to the hotel is The Crown Club where you can enjoy a light or cold meal with a wide range of alcoholic beverages while socialising with friends and colleagues in either the bar, orangery-style conservatory or outside terraces. Come visit us and discover why we were awarded two coveted rosettes by the AA for our world class cuisine.
