Although today (Thursday) marks the official anniversary of VE Day, (the end of World War 2 in Europe), celebrations have been enjoyed around the country just as they did in 1945 and locally all week, the likes of which we are unlikely to see again. On Sunday 11th May, you can all get together at Welland Park (10.30am - 3.30pm) for one BIG party to end a memorable week in which we've all had time to reflect on the horrors of war, and how fortunate and grateful we are to be living in the freedom we enjoy today.
