I'm sure you've noticed the town's getting a bit busier after the usual January 'slump', and that's despite some challenging weather. Spirits are definitely lifted, as there are some great events to look forward to and some people are even booking holidays etc!

And that's aided of course by the brilliant LEICESTER COMEDY FESTIVAL which has already started around the county venues, and it's coming to Harborough District venues between 14th - 19th Feb, so buy some tickets while you can and treat yourselves to the greatest medicine of all - laughter!

Last week, I was delighted to welcome PRINTS & FRAMES LTD of Welland Business Park to thebestof Market Harborough's family of recommended independent local businesses. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out and I encourage you to visit and browse their gallery of 600+ stunning prints on display featuring the work of many great and talented artists and photographers that really could transform your home, and all at very affordable prices. They're open MON - FRI from 9am - 5pm, so enjoy a relaxing hour or two persusing! There's something there for all tastes.

VALENTINES Day is almost upon us once again and all you romantics will probably want to treat your significant 'other' to a 'lover-lyl' meal. But if you don't fancy cooking at home, why not book a table and enjoy the service at one of our local restaurants or pubs. Be pampered in the town at EVEREST LOUNGE, SU & SHI, HAN, TASTE SOCIAL or THE BELL at East Langton, The GEORGE at Ashley or THE BLACK HORSE at Foxton to name just a few. But you'll need to book early as places are always limited.

Sports Events are plentiful during the month and whether you're a rugby, cricket, darts, football etc fan or all of them, you'll probably be watching many hours of TV (if you're allowed!), but the social atmosphere of watching Live Sport in a pub is so much better than home, so why not give it a try? There are plenty to choose from including THE BLACK HORSE, Foxton who feature a weekly menu of sporting events they cover on their facebook page.
