A successful start to bumper tourism year for Woodbridge

As we know, one of Suffolk's most important sources of income is tourism, it is currently worth £1.7b in fact!

The good news is that it has proven to be a very successful Easter for tourist destinations across Suffolk with Woodbridge playing a significant part.  Thousands of people visited the Shire Hall to see the modern and vintage market return and there was an Easter Egg hunt in Elmhurst Park.

Even the, sometimes heavy, April showers didn't put a dampener on the fun as many holiday-makers and locals headed to the coast and countryside for short breaks and days out.

Let's not forget that the Diamond Jubilee and London Olympics are still to come - it looks like Suffolk is on course for a bumper year! You can find out about lots of local events to attend and enjoy here on our events pages, and don't forget that you can add your own event for free for us to promote!
