Planning to grow your business?

There are so many quotes on planning.

From Benjamin Franklin’s:  “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”

Winston Churchill suggested:  “Plans are of little importance, but planning is essential.”

Warren Buffet observed: “Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”

Whilst Spike Milligan perhaps slightly tongue in cheek said:  “We have a plan, therefore nothing can go wrong”.

It’s been said that many of us spend more time planning our summer holidays than we do our lives (or our businesses).  This might give us a fantastic 2 week vacation … but what about the other 50 weeks of the year?  What about our dreams and goals?

For many business owners business planning is a task that’s often only done at the request of the bank – perhaps when applying for a loan.  Many owners have the intention of “planning”, and understand the value of planning but not surprisingly tasks of a higher priority get in their way.  Perhaps this is what happens when you set out to plan goals for your business.

There’s a quote that’s often attributed to golfer, Arnold Palmer “The harder I practice, the luckier I get.”

So come along on 1st May, and give yourself the tools to practice.  Oh, and there’ll be some GREAT NETWORKING with other Woking businesses … and who knows the value connections you’ll make!
