To whomever is lucky enough to have found Angela Allright and is considering using her services. Look no further. Angela catered an event for me on behalf of a client in March 2014 for 100 people in a church hall in Wimbledon. The brief was for simple but stylish finger food, hot and cold, to be served over a period of 4 hours to a group whose numbers would vary from 20 to over 50 and dwindle to 30 or so in the last hour. From the first guests arriving until the last ones to leave, everything was kept fresh, no platter ever looked tired, no sandwich triangle curled - no delicious breaded prawn lost its tail, no miniature yorkshire pudding became soggy with horseradish, no exquisite cocktail sausage sat in sadness, cooling and sticking to its plate, each of the pretty leek and cheese tarts was as unctuous and flavoursome as the first and the petit fours! . Well what can I say? Nobody suffered a luke warm white wine or a stewed cup of tea. The coffee was piping hot and constant - and have I mentioned the petit fours?. Each platter was stylishly dressed with fresh flowers in keeping with the theme of the room, the serving platters themselves were highly original yet entirely in keeping with the theme. The waiting staff Angela hired - to say nothing of her marvellous sous chef, were spot on. Was this a book launch, a celebrity event, a premiere, a christening, a 21st birthday party or a wedding anniversary? No, it was a funeral reception. And what a beautiful send off. Thank you Angela for your patience with me, your grace with my client, your creativity, your outstanding food, your lovely sense of humour, your unflappability and your love and enthusiasm for what you do superbly well. Lorayn and her lovely team provided a fantastic service for our party. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was beautifully presented and their hard work meant we could just relax and enjoy ourselves.
