You can now vote for the Welwyn Garden City store's new charity partner for 2017. Since 2009 local Sainsbury's stores have each selected a Local Charity of the Year to partner with and have raised over £13 million. This can make a really big difference to local charities at the heart of the communities where we live and work.
In 2016, over 20,000 children signed up to the Summer Reading Challenge in libraries across Hertfordshire and Hertfordshire Libraries are hoping for a repeat performance this summer, as children to flock to libraries during July and August to take part in Animal Agents, the 2017 Summer Reading Challenge. To support the children along the way, every summer Hertfordshire Libraries recruit an army of volunteers aged 14+. It’s a great opportunity to make a positive contribution to your local community and help children to keep reading through the holidays.
