World Cup fever at Watford Market

It seems that World Cup fever has gripped the nation! There are England flags everywhere you turn at the moment, something that I am sure will increase to fever pitch over the next few exciting weeks and isn't it great to see that Watford locals are getting into the spirit of the game?

For many of us  this is a great excuse for get togethers and 'World Cup Parties' where we can make loads of noise and jump around for 90mins but we can't do that for every match and this is where the big screen that has been set up in Watford Market comes in handy.

If you are after the live atmosphere of a World Cup game, but can’t make it to South Africa, then get down to the market where a big screen has been set up  with the added bonus of waiter service from the two market cafes!

All the games that are broadcast free on the BBC during market opening hours will be shown on the big screen, which has specially laid out seating for the duration of the tournament.

As well as watching the game and enjoying your lunch, visitors can pick up a whole range of official England supporter merchandise including shirts, hats, noise makers and flags.

Watford Market is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays from 7am until 5.30pm.

The next games you can watch on the big screen are:

Tuesday 15 June            12.30pm             New Zealand Vs. Slovakia

Friday 18 June                   3pm                 Slovenia Vs USA

Saturday 19 June              3pm                 Ghana Vs Australia

Tuesday 22 June               3pm                 France Vs South Africa

Friday 25 June                   3pm                 Portugal Vs Brazil

So if you're missing the buzz of catching all the action as part of a crowd now you know where to go!
