Watford Ladies Harts U12

Watford Ladies Harts U12 snatched victory in extra time over Garston Ladies in the Hertfordshire Girls League Cup Final on Saturday.

Nerves were understandably on edge as this game started under a cloudless blue sky but both teams settled quickly and played a highly entertaining, skilful and exciting match.

After a goalless and evenly matched first half Garston took the lead late in normal time but Watford hit back immediately with Julia Waller netting a superb goal following an excellent set of moves up the  pitch.

After a short break the Ladies reconvened for ten minutes of extra time and just two minutes into Waller lobbed the ball into the Garston net to give Watford a 2-1 lead.

Despite all Garston’s efforts they were not able to find the net again and the win and the cup go to Watford Ladies.
