Boys & Girls Nursery Stanmore were visited by MediVet, a veterinary practice in the local area to celebrate Love Your Pet Day.
The children enjoyed a visit from Bhanu and Kavitah who spoke to the children about the importance of their job, how they look after the pets that are brought in and they also brought in some of the equipment that they use within the practice including the gowns and masks they wear during operations and a stethoscope they use to listen to an animal’s heartbeat. The children got a chance to try out all the equipment which they thoroughly enjoyed.
The vet’s visit was a huge hit with the children. They loved learning about the different kind of pets that others have and how to look after them properly.
These visits are part of our wider set of ‘Mini VIP Events’ that Boys & Girls Nursery organise each month which coincide with seasonal activities and days of interest.
