Things To Do With The Children This Christmas Holiday

After all the presents have been unwrapped, the food eaten and the Christmas TV watched the kids can sometimes get a bit bored while off school. We have a few suggestions to liven up the holidays and pass the time before they go back to school and the afterschool clubs are going again.

We would highly recommend checking out The Best of Watford's Christmas directory. It's  jam packed with all the best festive events and entertainment in and around Watford this season. From fun days out, free events, to creative workshops, there's plenty going on to keep the kids entertained and happy.

Put on your welly boots and enjoy the great outdoors. Head to some of Watfordâs fantastic outdoor spaces such as Cassiobury Park and Whippendell Woods, Croxley Green and the many adventure playgrounds dotted around the borough. Wrap up warm and have a great day out without the cost. Itâs great to get out and change your environment, and the kids will love it!

Try a few Christmas crafts. You can make Christmas decorations or paper chains to decorate the house out of scrap paper, fabric and paints. You could get thrifty and make your own thank you notes recycled from your Christmas cards, which the children can draw and write on themselves.

See a pantominme. There are lots of pantomimes put on in theatres in and around Watford, which are a good laugh and a great day out for everyone in the family. Make sure to book ahead as many of them will sell out in advance. Enjoy some old-school Christmas movie classics.

If the weather is bad snuggle up and have a warm and cosy day in watching some of the all time best Christmas family films. Crack open some of the chocolate selection boxes and have a hot chocolate to enjoy the movie day even more!

Have a Happy Christmas From All at Boys & Girls Nursery!
