We asked the people of Watford to show their appreciation for the businesses they admired the most in our national and local 14 Days of Love campaign this year and the competition was hot, hot, hot!

Several local companies were neck and neck in the leader board throughout the campaign with 1st place switching between Bushey DVD, Esmeralda Js Exclusive, Watford Bathrooms & Kitchens, Sea Breeze and Nixuss Computer Repair Centre. Many other great local companies also made the running, cheered on by their loyal local supporters and the testimonials and recommendations poured in. So much so that the national computers at thebestof were running red hot and as the campaign reached its crescendo one business emerged as a clear winner - Nixuss  Computer Repair Centre

Based on the North Orbital Road near Garston, Nixuss were not only voted most loved business in Watford they also came third nationally in the category of Computer Repairs, a great achievement!  The Nixuss team who are  led by owners Ian Howarth and Matthew Human, marshalled the support of their loyal customers; many of whom were happy to let us know how much they appreciate Nixuss.  Clear themes started to emerge - people frequently mentioned the passion, enthusiasm and sheer professionalism of the team and above all the high levels of friendly customer service they received. When it comes to computers, home or business, Nixuss is the place to go for help and support. Many people also mentioned "great service" and "very reasonable prices"  Dropping into their welcoming shop is easy, with good parking and they also provide a call-out service so next time your computer(s) start playing up you know who to call - Nixuss.

Other business did tremendously well in the competition. Bushey DVD, a much loved local business that consistently receives praise from its customers, came in close behind Nixuss. The team at Bushey DVD specialise in the transfer of your precious videos to digital formats and they have built up a fantastic following for fast, efficient and reliable service. Third place in Watford goes to Sea Breeze the take away fish and chip shop in Bushey Hall Road. Owner Vic and master fryer Mirwas consistently produce fabulous fish and chips and the people of Watford love them. Look out for their special offers on thebestofwatford.

Other Watford businesses also did extremely well in the national results. Bouncy Castle and Inflatables business based in Kings Langley and supplying events throughout Hertfordshire A&K Events took a fantastic 2nd place in their category nationally and so too did Esmeralda Js, the tailoring, repairs and dry cleaning company recently relocated to Bushey Mill Lane. While Watford Bathrooms & Kitchens took 3rd nationally in the Bathrooms Category in the face of very stiff competition.
