The Latest Space2 Pop-Up
5th March 2012
... Comments

If you are interested in fine art, photography, print making, sculpture or video work then visiting Watford's most recent pop-up gallery is something you will really enjoy. And you can combine your visit with doing your shopping, because this gallery has taken over 69 High Street, the former JJB store (opposite Natwest bank).

The project has involved the local artists, whose work is displayed, in all elements of setting up the gallery, from naming to logo designing, selecting the work and co-curating the show which is titled 'Space'.

This group of artists is committed to creating a better Watford and a place where artists can thrive. The council supports this by temporarily taking over empty shop units and manages the space for local artists to show case their work and sell it for a small commission.

So please support them by coming along to see the gallery.

Visitors are welcome on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 12noon to 6pm. Appointments can also be arranged on request. Email: alex.hugo@watford.gov.uk
