Pop Up Art Gallery

Watford Council has temporarily taken over Unit 4 in Charter Place (opposite BHS) and is managing the space for local artists, who are able to display and sell their work.

Creating pop up galleries is part of the work going on to improve the overall look and vitality of Watford's shopping areas and thereby supporting local retailers by encouraging more visitors to the area.

Sophie Ronson, Arts Development Officer, says, "We love this shop unit - it is light and airy and perfect for showing off the fantastic work we have on display. As well as prints and photographs, we have amazing 3D work including glass plates, greeting cards and an Arts noticeboard where local artists can share information."

If you love art and would like to see original, vibrant work by local artists, the gallery is now open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am until 4pm, until the 13 May.

Keep checking the Love Watford facebook - www.facebook.com/love watford - page for details of events and performances planned for this gallery.
