The annual W3RT Community Fund Big Quiz was another huge success, raising money for great causes in Watford and providing great entertainment in the process.

Held at the Metropolitan Police Bushey Sports Club on Thursday 23 February, the Big Quiz raised £3000, and saw 160 people competing from local charities, businesses and friends of the Community Fund. On hosting duties was Lee Partridge from Vibe 107.6, a perfect striking partner for the wonderful Luther Blissett.

Fish and chips were the perfect partner to a range of engaging Quiz Rounds, with “Watford and Three Quizzers Trust” running out close winners. Teams represented businesses and charities from all over Watford.

Gill Crowson, Head of Fundraising for the W3RT Community Fund said: “It was a fabulous evening that all guests enjoyed, it was a great atmosphere with lots of fun. Bushey Sports Club was a perfect venue, whose staff made us feel incredibly welcome.”

Money raised from this event and from donations from other local sources go towards important causes in our town. This year charities Playskill, Home Start and the Watford Women’s Centre, Garston Ladies FC and a project for a local family providing for their disabled daughter received valuable funding.

The W3RT Community Fund would like to thank all those who made this event possible by sponsorship; Boys & Girls Nursery, S E Connor Locksmiths, D2R, Humpreys Data Management, The Imagine Group, Just Smile, McNicholas, My Local News, Topgolf, U D Salon, Canine Paradise and LHAA.
