GET INVOLVED - COME ALONG AND HAVE YOUR SAY!

In an attempt to encourage local residents to get involved in the re-development of Charter Place, Watford Borough Council has taken over an empty shop in Charter Place Shopping Centre. Everyone that lives, works and shops in Watford  has been invited to come along and have a look at some of the development ideas for the town proposed for the  next 20 years or so.

On display are ideas for the re-development of Charter Place, Watford Health Campus, the Croxley Rail Link and Watford Junction. There is information about aims to improve cultural facilities and town centre public spaces as well as details of the draft licensing policy being considered by the council, which will try to attract more restaurants - and fewer bars and clubs - into the town centre.

Staff are on hand to answer questions and anyone that completes a short survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 gift card which can be used in shops in Charter Place and the Harlequin Centre.

The consultation shop will be open until Saturday 24 July (Monday to Saturday) between 12noon and 7pm, except Market days (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday) when it opens at 10am. It is located opposite Argos and next to Popiandy's Cafe on the ground floor.

If you are interested in finding out more about where Watford town centre is heading in the next 2 decades why not pop in and take a look?
