Calling all art enthusiasts - create land art with travelling canal artists in Watford
16th July 2015
... Comments

Art can be made using paint, pencils, charcoal, pastel, mixed media… and land!

If you are a budding artist or just want to try something completely new, we recommend a jaunt to Cassiobury Park between 11am and 4pm on Saturday 18th July to make a spiral from materials that have been gathered in the park. You'll be helped by travelling canal artists, Magda and Berth, who will provide tips, ideas and inspiration.

You will also have the opportunity to create your own poetry and enjoy the work of other artists, with an exhibition of local talent.

The canals have a thriving artistic community, so it is a great treat to welcome them to Watford and Cassiobury Park. Magda and Berth have been travelling the British Inland Waterways system on their narrowboat, Wanderlust, using the changing scenes of countryside, urbanisation, colour, people, wildlife and solitude to create contemporary art that reflects their unique canal life.
