Nominations are now open for Watford's Audentior Awards.
The Audentior Awards, now in their eighth year, are there to honour the outstanding dedication shown by individuals and organisations to Watford town. The one attribute that all nominees must share is the quality of their commitment, dedication, energy and effort in their particular field.
There are 7 award categories, and a special achievement award that goes to an individual or group who make an outstanding contribution to the welbeing or pride of the town such as an act of bravery, sporting achievement, innovation or leadership.
If you want to know more about the award categories and wish to make a nomination you can collect a nomination form from the council's Customer Service Centre, Town Hall, or go to the council's website at: www.watford.gov.uk or you can request a copy by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning Caroline Harris on: 01923 278374.
So, if you know someone who goes that extra mile to help people, or who has a life changing effect on others through their work or charity involvement, or who meets the needs of disabled people in the community, or a young person who has made an oustanding contribution - please make a nomination.
The deadline for doing this is Friday 10 June 2011.
