Fancy a Chip?
West Midlands Chip Van is a Mobile Fish and Chip van that is available for Private Hire, events and festivals. The Chip Van serves both traditional Fish and Chips including Battered Chips, Pies, Sausage, Roe, Cod, as well as an Indian Chip Van Menu.
We were really excited when we saw that a food van was coming to Herbert’s Yard that does orange chips, even better when we saw that it was Indian inspired.
We were really disappointed though. The chips literally aren’t battered at all and the pakora just tasted like standard cod bites. Disappointing.

After being invited to try the West Mids Chip Van again, I honestly can't believe the difference.
I must have caught them at a bad time before because the difference was night and day.
The chips were delicious and crispy, and the fish pakora was beautifully spiced, fresh and delicate.
The staff were great and explained that sometimes it happens but if you let them know, they will be happy to sort you out.
We had 2 portions and we both left feeling like it was on of the best meals we've ever had at Herbert's Yard.
We will definitely be back the next time they are in town!
