My husband and I recently held our daughter's Christening reception at The Black Country Arms. Our guests (many of whom were from Durham and so unfamiliar with this pub) absolutely loved the venue. We hired out the upstairs - free of charge - and Kim catered for us with a cold buffet at a very reasonable price. There was a great variety of different foods and there was plenty to go round. I would recommend this pub as a great place to hold a private function. The staff are friendly, the variety of beers is a great attraction, and the venue itself is welcoming.
I used Simply Doors to replace and fit new internal doors downstairs. The price was very reasonable and the staff were very patient and helpful when it came to choosing the door design and door handles. I would definitely recommend this company and I will use them again when the time comes to replace the doors upstairs.

Kind Thoughts is a lovely little card shop. I popped in to just pick up one card the other day, and ended up walking away with several. Lovely selection of Easter cards.
