Willenhall Chart Centre has been awarded £1,200 through the National Lottery Community Connecting Communities Fund to provide a FREE ten week programme of fun fitness sessions via zoom to help tackle and improve exercise, tackle depression, anxiety and isolation.     Over the last eight months during the ongoing pandemic and three national lock downs, individuals and families have become very limited to what exercise they have been able to undertake and have become complacent and very isolated from their peers which has led to a build-up of anxiety, depression, motivation and isolation.  The “Healthy Hearts Healthy Minds” project will target Individuals and families and engage them to support and reconnect those back into the community via the online zoom sessions.       The free sessions will consist of Fighting Fit – Boxing Style Workout (Tuesday’s 7pm – 8pm), Low Impact Cardio for Over 50’s (Thursday’s 10am – 11am) and Family Fun Fitness session (Sundays 10am – 11am) which will be delivered by our Personal Trainer, Sian Coughlan.  To book on any of the free sessions visit www.siancoughlanfitnesstraining.co.uk , click on the required session and at the checkout enter the code “PREPAYFREE” to claim your free session. Sessions are available to book three days prior to it taking place.     Wayne Palmer, the Organisations Treasurer/Trustee has welcomed the money which will enable the Centre make a difference to the community during these uncertain times.  The sessions will help tackle and improve exercise but also promote cohesion within the community.
