AccessAbility Arts and Caldmore Community Garden invite the community to celebrate creativity, wellbeing, and the natural world.

Residents of Walsall and the surrounding area are invited to take part in EcoPoetree & Creative Arts, a free, inclusive workshop taking place on Saturday 1st August 2026 from 2:30pm to 5:00pm at Caldmore Community Garden, 12 Carless Street, Walsall, WS1 3RH.

Hosted by AccessAbility Arts in partnership with Caldmore Community Garden, the afternoon will encourage people of all ages and abilities to explore their creativity through poetry, storytelling, art, and mindful observation in the beautiful surroundings of the community garden.

Participants will enjoy a relaxed programme of nature-inspired creative activities, guided writing prompts, spoken word exercises, and opportunities to connect with others who share a love of creativity and the outdoors. No previous experience is required, making the workshop accessible to complete beginners as well as experienced writers and artists.

AccessAbility Arts is a Midlands-based organisation committed to making the arts accessible to everyone, providing inclusive workshops, performances, and creative opportunities that empower people to express themselves without barriers. Their work celebrates diversity, encourages confidence, and creates welcoming spaces where everyone can participate.

DK, co-founder of AccessAbility Arts, said:

“Nature has a wonderful way of helping us slow down, notice the world around us, and discover inspiration in unexpected places. EcoPoetree is about bringing people together through creativity, conversation, and community. Whether you write every day or have never written a poem before, everyone is welcome.”

The workshop will be facilitated by DK and Charlotte McDermott, combining spoken word, eco-poetry, and creative arts in an engaging and supportive environment.   Attendees are encouraged to bring a notebook, sketchbook, creative materials, picnic blanket, or anything else that helps them feel comfortable and inspired.

Admission is free, but booking is recommended.
