We were really excited when we saw that a food van was coming to Herbert’s Yard that does orange chips, even better when we saw that it was Indian inspired.<br>We were really disappointed though. The chips literally aren’t battered at all and the pakora just tasted like standard cod bites. Disappointing.<br><br>EDIT:<br>After being invited to try the West Mids Chip Van again, I honestly can't believe the difference.<br>I must have caught them at a bad time before because the difference was night and day.<br>The chips were delicious and crispy, and the fish pakora was beautifully spiced, fresh and delicate.<br>The staff were great and explained that sometimes it happens but if you let them know, they will be happy to sort you out.<br><br>We had 2 portions and we both left feeling like it was on of the best meals we've ever had at Herbert's Yard.<br>We will definitely be back the next time they are in town!

We hired the West Midlands Chip Van to cater our wedding celebration. The food and service was fantastic and we had lots of compliments from our guests. Thanks to Sunny and his team for all their hard work, especially in the cold weather!

I popped to Herbert Yard again today and I had fish and chips with curry sauce with the chips and fish in masala and fresh coriander. It was very tasty and the chips were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle; I'm looking forward to having it again.

We hired The West Midlands Chip Van for a recent work event and they were fantastic. The food was fresh and flavorful. They offered a great selection to satisfy everyone. The staff were friendly and efficient and handled everything with professionalism making the event a success from start to finish. Very impressed with the quality and service and we will definitely be using them again for future events. Highly recommend!!!

The best food truck ever!! We had the team cater for a wedding event we had in the house for over 100 people and every single person was in awe. The food was so fresh and tasty, the staff were so lovely and accommodating and the whole vibe it bought to our event was just what we wanted! They even went above and beyond printing out our very own personalised menu, they also made sure to cater to all our needs before and throughout the evening. 100% recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again!!

This chip van has got the best staff, always happy and on the ball, me and my wife travel a lot, we go to seasides regularly, and I’m always looking for the perfect fish & chips. The main reason why I’m always so UN-impressed with seaside chip shops is because of this van!. Which is undoubtedly the best I’ve haf, absolutely top notch, although it has ruined my seaside chip shop hunt!. Keep it up, it’s 5/5 all day.

We had the pleasure of having the guys along for the evening food for our wedding and it was an absolute hit!! Everyone has not stopped talking about the fish and chips!! The guys were great, super friendly, having a laugh with our guests. 5 stars isn’t enough! I couldn’t recommend them more.

We hired the chip van to cater after our little one's Christening. They were set up at the venue before we arrived and everything communicated by email beforehand so I could relax on the day and know food was taken care of. We knew how nice the fish and chips were from the weekly round but many of our guests also commented it was the best fish they had tried. Also great alternative option of halloumi, and sausage or chicken nuggets for kids. Very happy customer and guests.
