Kings Norton U3A Museum Visits Group visited the Walsall Leather Museum today and enjoyed a very informative morning. Ian, our guide shared his knowledge on the leather trade in Walsall. The skins and hides on display, the tools and machinery involved in producing the saddles and other goods including the Queen's handbags, was so interesting. Ian's talk with the addition of video footage of leather workers describing various techniques was great. Thank you for a fascinating visit.

An interesting insight into the world of Leather, and how Walsall played its part.

As its free you shouldn't really feel disappointed about your visit, however, for us it was lacking more detail and demonstrations.

If you're travelling through Walsall and you have some time to spare, it might be worth your time to call in, it takes about 20 mins to get around.

Excellent crafting session that had a brilliant atmosphere and was good value. All the staff around the museum were lovely. All 3 kids (3, 4 & 7) had a fab time both crafting and looking around the museum and making their own keyring.

The museums a bit small and didn't find thier gift shop intresting enough to buy anything, but the mood rings were cool
