Plenty of work has been completed to make the arboretum a star in Walsall's leisure facilities. However, there are some signs that care and maintenance are declining. Some of the tarmac paths are crumbling and others are waterlogged, leaves haven't been swept from some of the grassed areas and the boardwalks over the lakes are becoming greasy because the moss hasn't been removed from the timber edges. The cafe is great and the washrooms too. Here there are great display of local history and it is a very pleasant place to meet friends. Maintaining a high standard of repair will keep the arboretum in good order. It's a good place to walk with plenty of free parking.

Really lovely place to go, especially in the autumn or summer. Really well kept gardens, the park rangers, Gardner's and staff are incredibly friendly. You can even get a bite to eat and a hot beverage at the visitors center for a really good price! Feeling sporty? There is a small concrete skatepark near the play area, as well as a basketball/football area on the other side of the path. It's pretty much my second home, I'd 100% recommend visiting if you're in the area.

The greatest part of walsall. The arboretum is a beautiful and historic haven. And there are a lot of activities happening there that benefit the local community. I think everyone thats grown up in walsall has memories from the arboretum.
