A nice place to walk with your family

Could have been a lot more interesting with some better signage and maps. Web site very poor and undersells its attractions . There are several walks which are poorly publicised. Little information on parking and access for disabled. Good attraction under sold. Café with long ques as very understaffed and badly organised. Visitor centre virtually non existent.

Always worth a visit. The Council are working hard to make the Arboretum a better and more relaxing place. Always busy with people of all ages exercising or simply walking around the pathways in the Arboretum proper and the Extension, which now includes the Country Park (former municipal golf course).
There is a guided walk around the significant trees.
Park Run every Saturday morning, tennis courts, table tennis, fitness circuit and bowls.
Treasure Island children's play area with water features in warm season. Soccer goalnets and basketball hoops. Medium skateboard/scooter park.
There are many arranged group activities - Nordic Walking and similar. Access the council website for details.

A great park however it is ruined by street lads lurking around.
If these road-boys were kept out it would be my favorite park in Birmingham.
Lovely for the kids and has lots of fields to walk around on a sunny day.
