We saw the reviews and gave it a try. Friendly service and was allowed to sample a cider before choosing. Food excellent. Wine by the glass is cheap compared to some restaurants. Will definitely go there again. Nice to find good English food as a change from Indian or Italian. We had four different choices, all of which were well cooked.

Never had a bad beer here and the food is decent and affordable too. Faggots and peas is lovely and the curries are good value too! Walsall's best pub by far.

I tried the steak and ale pie and it was the best pie I have ever tasted! I would recommend you try the real ales as well. All in all, good food and a good pint.

Called here for lunch with a group of friends. Located a short walk from the railway station this is a real pub with a large selection of real ales and the food was good too. Especially my liver and onions with mash. Recommend and will be returning

I arranged with the pub via email to have a dinner there with approx 20 people, they were polite and very accommodating and helpful as I was unable to give specifics on how many where arriving.
We arrived, had amazing food (as always, we have been a few times before). Can not fault the food. Made with time and care and taste lovely.
The variety of ales and other drinks is always impressive and quality is brill.
We will revisit many times and will always recommend!

It was alright but just that, alright. Clean but it was like walking into a morgue. Plenty of beer etc to choose but the food was what I would call "Booker" food. Would not rush back for a Sunday dinner.

popped into here on a sat afternoon after doing some shopping in walsall. It was quite busy but we managed to grab a table upstairs and order some food. I had the steak and ale pie which was gorgeous...really generous portion and tasted so good. My hubby had the all day breakfast and he couldnt manage it all

Staff member on the bar is very friendly and welcoming. Love happy hour. I return and use the pub on a regular basis.
