We had all our internal doors replaced yesterday by Wayne & Aaron who did a fantastic job. They were really friendly and helpful, the doors look and fit perfectly and they didn’t leave any mess. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, in fact I already have. 👍

Overall, the experience was okay. The doors fit properly, which is the main thing, but there were a several issues with the installation and aftercare that mean I won't use Simply Doors again for our upstairs doors.

I was originally quoted £2,400. The initial fitting date was cancelled because their van had broken down, and the installation was rearranged for the Saturday. I felt I had little choice but to accept the Saturday appointment, as I was told they didn’t know when else they would be able to fit me in. The fitters told me they often work Saturdays. They are contractors, so perhaps they work Saturdays elsewhere but not normally for Simply Doors.

The oak doors themselves were fitted properly. However, on the day of installation — after I had paid Simply Doors in full, but before paying the fitters — I was told that one of the handles was missing. It then took 12 days, and several chasers from me, before the missing handle was fitted. I appreciate that they are busy, but in my view, completing an installation that has already been paid for in full should take priority over starting jobs that have yet to be completed.

The French doors also have some minor surface scratches, as shown in the photos. Simply Doors are correct that I did not raise these scratches directly with them. The reason I didn’t was that I had seen previous reviews where customers reported being told that similar scratches must already have been there. Had I believed the door would be replaced as a result, I would have raised the issue directly. This is on me.

One thing worth knowing when comparing quotes is that the price does not include removing the rubbish (the packaging from the doors, hinges and handles supplied) or taking away your old doors. They will take the old doors away for £6 each, so make sure you factor this into the overall cost. I have no issue with them charging for door disposal, but I think this should be made clear at the quotation stage rather than being raised on the day of installation. The rubbish required a visit to the tip which wasn't too bad.

There were also a few finishing issues. As was flagged on the installation day I have been left to fill the old hinge recesses myself, as this was not something the fitters will do. I also need to level and sand back the area around the new strike plates.

As shown in the photos, pieces of cardboard from the packaging were also used to wedge/shim some of the hinges. Card was similarly used behind the strike plates to make them sit flush. I only discovered the latter when the pieces fell out after I removed a strike plate to sand the surrounding area. I don’t know whether using cardboard in this way will cause any problems over time, but it wasn’t something I expected to find as part of the installation and don't know the long term consequences of it.

So, overall: the doors fit and function properly, which is the most important point, but the incomplete installation, delay in getting the missing handle fitted, finishing details and lack of clarity around disposal costs were disappointing.

Ended up using simply doors after another company loosed us down and so glad we did. Fantastic job! The door and handles are fitted perfectly. They also fitted an arcitrive (if thats what you call it) as i needed 1 door to open opposite way and that was also excellent. The 3 guys wayne, aaron and alex were friendly, hard working and a credit to your company. My house was also left clean also. Top marks guys and keep up the good work. Poplar road

I honestly couldn’t recommend the team highly enough. They fitted 14 interior doors for us, including all the locks, handles, hinges and everything else needed — and the whole job was completed quickly, professionally and to an exceptionally high standard.
The three fitters were an absolute pleasure to have in our home. They were clearly highly experienced, knowledgeable and extremely skilled, but what really stood out was how friendly, polite and respectful they were throughout. It was lovely to see the three of them working so well together — a dad, his son and his son-in-law — and they were genuinely such a lovely bunch of guys.
They worked efficiently, paid attention to all the little details and left everything looking fantastic. 14 doors is a big job, but they made it look effortless!

On Monday and Tuesday this week, I had all 13 of my internal doors replaced by Simply Doors. Despite some tricky frames and unusual sizes, they fitted my new oak doors perfectly.

I first came across Simply Doors through a Facebook advert, got in touch via email, and arranged for Andy to visit and take the final measurements. Cliff fitted all of our doors and was absolutely fantastic. Joanne was also a pleasure to deal with, answering all of my questions promptly and keeping me informed throughout.

If you're thinking about getting new doors, do it. I got three other quotes and looked at countless options, but my gut feeling was to go with Simply Doors, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The quality of the work is excellent, and it has completely transformed my house.

We have had all our doors changed in the house the fitters Wayne and Aaron have been amazing they worked really hard and done an excellent job highly recommended the 2 double doors in the living room was very difficult due to size they worked till 9.00 pm really friendly and polite nothing to much trouble

Lots of options in store to look at. Lady on the desk was so helpful even though I probably drove her crackers. Ordering was easy and doors were delivered very quickly. Had an issue with a door handle set as they were black but the lock plate was chrome. I rang them up and they sent me a whole new set straight away. Could not be happier 😁
