Having tried all of the Indian restaurants in the Aldridge area, Shimla is by far the best. The food is fantastic and the service is just as good. Whenever we are unable to decide what to do for an evening meal we always choose Shimla and are never disappointed. The complimentary shots always top off a great evening.

we go to this restaurant at least once a week ,all ways a warm welcome ,great food and service ,booked for Christmas day and we were not disappointed especially when i had my whole tandoori chicken. thanks THE JOHNSONS ,

We visited this restaurant in November for a birthday celebration. The food was well cooked and flavoursome and we were especially pleased that it catered for our daughter who is a vegetarian. The staff were very polite and attentive. We will definitely be visiting again. In fact, we have booked for Christmas Day.

We regularly go to this restaurant and the food is fantastic whatever we choose from the menu. Recommend the sag rice - it's delicious. Service is wonderful and all the waiters are friendly and helpful.

My parents have been visiting this Indian restaurant for nearly 20 years now, and it's a firm family favourite. So much so that relatives living an hour north of us frequently request that we pick them up a takeaway from here the night before we visit so that they can reheat it at home. I've never had Indian elsewhere that even comes close to the intensity of flavour and friendliness of the staff here. The Sunday-Thursday night deal of poppadoms and chutneys, a starter, main and rice, naan or chips, all for £9.99 per person is unbeatable. Not to mention the Bailey's and After Eight mint provided free of charge with the bill. A real gem.

Visited the Shimla on a Friday evening with 16 work colleagues. The staff we friendly, well organised. Meals arrived promptly and were delicious. Cost was reasonable, we took our own drinks. I would recommend Shimla excellent service.

Have been to Shimla many times and they've never failed to impress me. The customer service is great, the food is very high quality and the take-aways are always outstanding. It's cheap and cheerful but most of all, it sustains a high reputation.

Was taken out by some very good friends here and being a fussy eater I was a little worried. I needn't of been because the food was outstanding, full if flavour, the service second to non. It was so lovely that I had to eat my entire main even though I was full to the brim ! My friends took what was left of there's home and the staff were very attentive and put things in containers as instructed. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend this small but personal restaurant. fantastic.

We visited here on a Thursday evening and they have an offer on that is exceptional value. Greeted with a warm welcome and seated near a window. After poppadom and pickle tray, I had persian kebab and my wife had chicken chat puree for starters. My main was a Shimila Special Tawa (lamb chicken and king prawn) and my wife had a King Prawn Sagwala Tawa and a freshly baked Naan bread and mushroom rice to share. We brought a bottle of wine to compliment the food that we bought from the Co-op next door. We were then brought an after eight mint and a complimentary bailey's and whisky. Wait for the price -- drum roll -- £19.99. Yes thats right very good value very good service and a great price! We will be back!
