On the day she read like an angel so compsionate and with a true heart with all the fine details all in place, my mother said the service and Kathryns words where "Just Perfect"
Not the day we wish to look forward to but we Very highly recomended Kathryn for when that day does arrise.

On behalf of me, Joy and Mal, I'd like to thank you for the excellent service you created and hosted for my Mom's funeral. You gave us a very special tribute to Kath, pitched and paced perfectly. Your efforts genuinely helped us to come to terms with our terribly sad loss. Afterwards, talking with the other mourners, person after person wanted to express to me how you had created a uniquely warm and personal event for us all to share. With best wishes, Gavin.

From the first phone call to Kathryn I knew that my dad's service was in good hands.
Kathryn came to our home and we spoke about my dad as if he was still here. There were tears and laughter. She was very personable. Kathryn then put together the service and she made sure it was everything we wanted.
On the day of the service she was amazing. I couldn't of asked for a more professional person to lead it.
She was passionate, funny, empathetic just beautiful.
Many people commented on who wonderful she was.
My dad would of loved the whole occasion. He would of loved Kathryn.
I would recommend Kathryn Smith to anyone looking for an independent Celebrant.
She could do my mine, but we are the same age haha x

This lady is brilliant at her job. Lovely to listen to and even brought her guitar and sang a song at the family’s request at the funeral I attended.

Kathryn led a beautiful service for our Mum. From the very beginning, she made it feel as though she truly knew her. The way she spoke about her and the care she took in honoring her life, she captured so perfectly. Many friends and family have told us it was one of the best services they have ever been to.
Thank you for giving our Mum such a beautiful farewell and for supporting our family with such kindness and grace.

Kathryn was amazing supporting the family from her first meeting with us, right the way through. She was brilliant during the service helping all of the grieving family members with such a kind, well researched euology. To be leaving a funeral and everyone commenting on how good Kathryn was speaks volumes.

Thankyou Kathryn, for such a wonderful service for our mom today. It couldn't have been any more beautiful. You took time to find out about her, even had a look around her house, to get a feel for her. All six of us, thought it was amazing. That's a lot of people to please. I can't thank Kathryn enough for the service she compassionately led for my lovely dad. On her first visit she listened to our stories about my dad, the kind of man he was and how much he meant to us as a family. She captured this perfectly, offering a beautiful picture of a life well lived. The small personal touches didn't go unnoticed and her attention to detail really made his send off better than we thought it would be.
The presentation of the order of service and all of the items enclosed was a lovely long lasting touch that I know my mom will really cherish.
Thank you again for helping us get through this really emotional time.

My wife died suddenly and the funeral was arranged by the COOP for mid-October. We asked if they could recommend a celebrant and they suggested Kathryn.
My son arranged a meeting with Kathryn at our home for the family.
I was anxious about the meeting, having never dealt with a celebrant in any way before. Kathryn listened to us as a family recounting the life of Karen my wife while taking notes, this I found comforting remembering the good and funny times.
Kathryn went away to work her magic.
The worst day of my life arrived , the day of the funeral I was dreading it, but when Katheryn told my wife’s life story with such warmth , feeling and at times humour it made the day so much easier for me because It was like she had known Karen all her life.
I cannot count the number of people that came up to me afterwards and said how amazing it was hearing about Karen by Katheryn.
I would certainly 100% recommend Katheryn to anyone looking for a celebrant and I would like to thank her from the bottom of my heart for doing an amazing job.

Katherine is a wonderful kind, caring person. She made the day of my daughters funeral so much easier with the kind and loving words she said. From the moment we first met, Katherine made the family feel at ease learning about all the wonderful things my daughter had done in her life and all things she'd planned to do but was taken too soon. Thank you Katherine ❤️

My family and I met Katherine when the Cooperative Funeral people put her in touch with us. Our mum had sadly passed away and Katherine came to meet us at our home. We shared funny stories about mum and we all laughed recalling them. Katherine made us feel really at ease, taking the time to listen to us. At the end Katherine thanked us for our time and said she would send us a draft over. We talked about poems and Katherine said she would send a couple over to look at, we just needed to let her know which one we chose. All through the process Katherine was in contact ourselves and I felt so comfortable that I could contact her at any time. On the day of moms funeral Katherine was waiting for us at the crematorium and hugged us all stating we were going to celebrate moms life. The service was exceptional and when Katherine was talking about mom, her actions were exactly how we spoke about mom. It was such an exceptional service and everyone stated how when Katherine spoke about mom everyone knew who she was talking about. Katherine made people giggle with the stories that we had shared. For such a sad event Katherine did us all proud, everyone said that she did us all proud! At the end of the service Katherine gave us a folder and when I opened it there was a copy of the service and a lovely card from her. On behalf of my family and I, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for us as a family, and for sending off our mom in style.

I tasked Kathryn with providing my Dad's service this week. I was met with warmth, understanding and compassion as we talked through the service and made the day the way I wanted it to be, respecting both mine and my dads wishes. I never felt rushed or under pressure to make decisions and I was kept informed of the process throughout. Kathryn delivered her service, and I had so many people comment how beautiful the day was, she made it wonderful and ensured a hard day was made easier by her wonderful personality and the light she brings with her. Thank you so much for everything. I will be forever grateful.

Navigating the funeral arrangements for my aunt was an incredibly difficult process, but from our very first meeting, Kathryn provided a source of calm and genuine support. She was a fantastic celebrant, and her presence made a profound difference to the entire ceremony.
Kathryn's professionalism was immediately evident in her meticulous approach to every detail. She took the time to listen to our stories, understand my aunt's life, and beautifully weave these memories into a service that felt deeply personal and authentic. Her poise and clear delivery gave us confidence that everything was in capable hands, allowing us to focus on remembering and grieving.
Beyond her professionalism, it was Kathryn’s remarkable empathy that truly set her apart. She had a unique ability to connect with our family on an emotional level, offering comfort without intrusion. Her words were spoken with profound compassion, and she held the space for both sorrow and celebration. She didn't just officiate a ceremony; she guided us through a heartfelt farewell with grace and warmth. We are so grateful for her service, which honored my aunt's memory in the most beautiful and respectful way.

My sister passed away suddenly at the age of 42. It was a massive shock to the whole family. Kathryn is a friend of mine and I knew straight away she was the right person for the funeral. She went above and beyond to help us to get through this very difficult time. She spend many hours with me, my parents and my sisters partner. She made sure all of the family had a mention in the service and a memory that they shared about my sister. Those that came to the service thought that Kathryn knew my sister personally as she had done such a good job interpreting our memories. She was amazing. I highly recommend her. She also kept checking how we were after the service and provided information about bereavement services locally for my parents.

I feel that it was fate that I met Kathryn. She was the celebrant at a friend's service, I got chatting to her at the end of the service, she was so approachable and friendly. I asked her for details so I could recommend her to others- I didn't think for one minute that it would be me that would be needing her services. 11 days later, my Mom passed away suddenly, and with no warning. Upon calling Kathryn, she said she would be honoured to deliver my Mom's service for us. She managed to turn a tragic experience into a smoother one for us all. She sat with me, my family and close friends and listened to funny stories about my lovely Mom, she then turned all of her notes and bullet points into the most amazing eulogy, she managed to bring through my Mom's energetic character even though Kathryn had never met her. We were blown away by her support all the way through, it's not just a 'job' to Kathryn, it's more. She started off as the celebrant for my Mom's service, and has ended up as a friend.

Kathryn recently headed the service at my husbands Stephens funeral It was a different type of service as my husband died suddenly and myself and family struggled to accept that he had gone. So we all wrote letters me to my husband Claire to her dad and the grandchildren to their grandad telling him how much we loved and missed him and what memories we will keep in our hearts forever which Kathryn read out with sincerity and empathy there was a lot of people at the service and everyone told me how beautiful it had been. I think we all did him proud including yourself Kathryn so thank you from myself and family Marie xxx

We were very lucky to be able to have Kathryn conduct the service for a very cherished Wife, Mom, Nan, Mother-in-Law and friend. Our Al had seen Kathryn at a funeral service she attended a few weeks prior, Al said when I go I want her to do my funeral, never in a million years did we think a few weeks later we’d unexpectedly lose Al and would actually be planning said funeral. Despite being very busy we were very lucky to be able to have Kathryn agree to do the service. Kathryn spent time with us, listening to us tell her all about our loved one and our happy memories, and she delivered the most beautiful service, it was everything we could’ve hoped for. All of the guests at the funeral have said how brilliant Kathryn was, and so many have asked for her details for future use. We all said if she was here, Al would’ve loved Kathryn as a person and how well they’d of gotten on. Kathryn brought a light to one of the saddest days of our life, and at points she even had people laughing during the funeral service and the funny memories we have of Al, which is EXACTLY what Al would’ve wanted - for us to remember her in happiness rather than misery. It was truly a service like no other and we are beyond grateful to Kathryn for everything, but particularly the compassion she has shown us all. On behalf of all of Al’s family and friends, a huge thank you xxx

We were fortunate enough to have Kathryn as the celebrant for our Mom's funeral. She made what was a very difficult day much more bearable. When we met up beforehand Kathryn really listened to what we wanted and made Mom's funeral a real celebration of her life. She managed to convey the impact she had as our Mom and as a Grandmother. The event felt 'lighter' than expected which was very much appreciated and down to Kathryn's bright yet respectful manner. Thank you for encouraging us to carry Mom in .... It was a real honour to do that for her. Forever grateful for your input.
